Eragon: Book One
Christopher Paolini
When Eragon finds a polished stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy; perhaps it will buy his family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered.
Reviews
This is the first book from the Inheritance Cycle, filled with many twists and intricate plots. This is an amazing book with a newborn dragon called Saphira, who is hatched to Eragon, a simple farmer living with his Uncle Garrow. Eragon gets a shiny hand and to a disadvantage running away from trouble from Galbatorix with Brom the story teller from the village. Meanwhile Roran, Eragon's cousin, is weeping for Katrina as the Ra'zac pass through looking for Eragon and Saphira. My favourtie character is Saphira as she has a good sense of humour.

It's great! It's one of the best books I've read, the author (Christopher Paolini) first started writing it when they were 15 which to me makes it even more amazing.

It is a wonderful to read and I really like how Eragon ended up with Saphira, a baby blue dragon. I like Saphira the best, because she grows up to be a amazing dragon. I would recommend this book for book lovers.

I want to complain that I can't give this book a rating of 6! This is the best book I've ever read. !!! The suspense in the story made me shiver. Parts of it were sad and gruesome. And parts were happy and funny. My favourite character was Saphira, a midnight blue dragon. My favourite race of creatures were the dwarves, then the dragons, followed by the elves. I think it is amazing that the writer was only 16 when he wrote this book. Paolini is a genius!!! I recommend this book to everyone who loves to read.

What I liked about this book is that there is a bit of darkness and a bit of blood but there is quite a bit of humour in it too. I would recommend it to my best buddy.
