The Last Battle is the seventh and final book in C. S. Lewis’s classic fantasy series, which has been drawing readers of all ages into a magical land with unforgettable characters for over sixty years. A complete stand-alone read, but if you want to relive the adventures and find out how it began, pick up The Magician’s Nephew, the first book in The Chronicles of Narnia.
Reviews
Amazingly intricate, wonderful beyond words, superbly composed! Even if I double this praise, it would not be enough, for this fascinating tale. This story is set, around the last days of Narnia, with the last king of Narnia and Eustace and Jill return to Narnia, happiness in their souls for finally being back. But this time, there is no intruder. There is no battle between Narnia and some other land. There is no worries over trade, and there is no proper quest for the king. But there is an enemy from within. An enemy, in the form of a normal Talking Narnian ape, Who plots with the modern Caloremen to destroy the spirits of Narnians, and fill them with despiteful lies about the wonderful Aslan himself. Lies to make them doubt their beliefs, lies to make them wonder whether all they were told of the great lion, empror above all others was true. Some Narnians remained true, others fell for the despicable lies... A must read for all, and a perfect book for anyone to read.

A very interesting book which is funny at the same time. My favourite part was when Jewell the Unicorn came into the story. A great and lovely ending.

I love the magic theme. My favourite character is King Tirian, because he showed he is brave by fighting the most deadly battle. Ever.

This was the book 7 of the Narnia series and is the last one. It is a fiction book. I really liked this adventure because Kings and Queens of Narnia, Eustance, Jill and Puzzle, a donkey who is Shift's slave comes together to stop a very vain ape called Shift to destroy and take over Narnia. My favourite part of the story is the ending as all the dead Kings and Queens are reincarnated and are living in old, beautiful Narnia. My favourite character is Shift the ape because I like how he tricks people into doing what he wants. I would recommend this book to children who are 8 years and above that also enjoy reading adventure stories. I would give this book 4/5 because I think the other books in the series were more exciting than this one but this was still a really good read.

I absolutely loved it!! I loved the ending because all the people that knew about narnia got to stay there and live there forever. And it was so heart-warming to know that the chronicles of narnia ended in such a beautiful and peaceful ending. I really enjoyed the whole series so I recommend reading the entire series in order to know about all their adventures in the land of narnia... I hope u like the series and HAPPY READING!!

This book was alright and is the seventh book of the Chronicles of Narnia series. Out of all the books my favourite was The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe. My favourite character of this book was The Bear because he was funny and also loyal to Aslan. If you are going to read this book it would make sense to read the other six in order.

I read this book (for the second time) with my 9 year old son and although I love the C of N series, I was disappointed by the reference to ‘darkies’ in the text. It left a bitter aftertaste and spoilt what was otherwise an intriguing conclusion to the series.

The Last Battle is a book telling us about how the last king of Narnia fought a huge battle against their foes over the mountains in Archenland. This end for the Chronicles of Narnia also tells us of the end of Narnia... but did it? This lovely book by C.S Lewis is a thrill for the end of the Chronicles of Narnia.

I liked this story a lot as all the visitors of Narnia met and I liked Aslan best as he forgave the donkey for pretending to be him. I was really shocked when I discovered they were all actually dead. I would recommend this book to children over 9 and adults.
