Lovely short and sweet story which is full of kindness! How a shoemaker and his wife start of as a very poor family but the benevolent pair of elves help earn them more money by making shoes to sell. I really liked the elves as the are so thoughtful. They care for others and likes to use their talents to make wonderful creations! Any body who likes mini fairytale-like stories should read this. 10/10!

It was brilliant. I liked the elves best. My copy had flaps which were fun to open. I would recommend it. My version was by Alison Edgson.

I like this book because it's all about the shoemaker makes shoes and the elves come at night and wears the shoes they walk with the shoes also they take the shoes.at the end the shoemaker as a plan his plan is about him spying on the elves he makes them shoes,hats and coats.
