Big Nate on a Roll (Big Nate, Book 3)
Lincoln Peirce
Big Nate is back, starring in the third instalment of his own super-funny series. Big Nate is created by Lincoln Peirce, who inspired Jeff Kinney, author of ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’. Big Nate's scout troop is fundraising and while door-to-door selling isn't really Nate's thing, there's nothing like a Grand Prize to get him motivated. Especially when the prize is an awesomely cool customised skateboard (and following an incident with a poodle and a bridge Nate is in need of a new set of wheels). Nate HAS to win the prize but to do that he must out-sell Artur – the luckiest boy at school. Will Nate beat Artur to the prize (and possibly win over Jenny)? Or will he just end up in detention?

I was really surprised when I found out that Nate won the skateboard and raised money for the timber scouts.

It’s a great fiction book and I love it because it is so funny. Nate is the main character. He really wants to get a skate board because is a scout. He has to sell warm fuzzies to earn money to get the skate board. He really likes the skate board because it is very cool. But there is a boy called Artur who also wants to get the skate board and he is worried that Artur will sell more warm fuzzies and get the skateboard first.

Nate needs to raise money for the timber scouts by selling wall hangings. The prize is a customised skateboard, which Artur also wants. Nate must beat him to it.

Nate was my favourite character. I remember that Artur( AKA, Mr Perfect got Nate in trouble because he was dripping paint in his eyes and he let go when paint got in his eyes! I would recommend this book to someone who likes funny, comedy, suspense and friends and foes.
