The brilliant new book from Megan Rix, telling the story of Rosa Parks from the perspective of a young girl and her faithful dog. HOWLY is a tiny puppy, left abandoned in a trash can next to a school. EDDIE is the young girl who finds him . . . Eddie is immediately drawn to the puppy, whose bravery and determination remind her of a very famous person indeed. Eddie's class are learning about Mrs Rosa Parks, whose act of courage on a bus in 1955 started a whole movement against racism in America. Mrs Parks herself soon visits Eddie's school, and when the great lady points out a stark reminder of racism in the school's own playground it's up to Eddie, her friends, and their new school dog Howly to remind everyone how to stay hopeful and stand up for what is right.

An amazing book about a puppy dog who was left in a trash can after birth, until Eddie (Edna) finds him. This book is also about racism and even Rosa Parks!

Rosa and the Daring Dog is sweet story about a dog, the famous Rosa Parks and a young girl named Eddie. My favourite character is Eddie who throughout the story faces her fears, racism and the responsibility of caring for her schools newest arrival Howly, the school's pet dog I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a sweet story with facts about some of our greatest black heroes.

Eddie is my favourite character as she is very kind to everyone. Eddie rescued a puppy who was dumped in to a bin by the puppy's unkind owners. I would recommend it to people who are 8.

About a abandoned dog who was found by a kind boy called Eddie. Eddie calls the dog Howly and they go on adventures together and do cool stuff.
