Alex Sparrow is a super-agent in training. He is also a human lie-detector. Working with Jess - who can communicate with animals - they must find out why their friends, and enemies, are all changing into polite and well behaved pupils. And exactly who is behind it all. This is a humorous tale full of farts, jokes and superhero references. Oh, and a rather clever goldfish called Bob. In a world where kids' flaws and peculiarities are being erased out of existence, Alex and Jess must rely on what makes them different to save the day.

My thoughts were that it was a great adventure and mystery book. My favourite character is Jess. I would recommend it to anyone who loves adventure and mystery books with a little tint of laughter at the end!

This is a very fun book about a boy who wishes he could be a spy. One day, he is surprised by a pop up on his computer. He gets a superpower from answering a phone call, and has a headache. When ever someone tells a lie around him, his ear farts and a terrible smell leaks out. He sees a girl called Jess, who also got a superpower, but hers was to understand animals, and she has a terrible twitch. Together they manage to take down their evil teacher, Miss Smilie, who was trying to brainwash the students of their school. It is a very fun book, and I would recommend it to anyone!

I really liked the way they had to find out what their powers were and why they had them. Also "the professor" being an anagram.

I decided to read this book online as my sister read it and really enjoyed it. It was very funny about a boy who’s ears let off a stink when he doesn't tell the truth… so At school he smelt a lot. This happened from Alex signing up to a spell Alex becomes friends with a girl who helps him as she has super powers too. This is a funny book and I want to read the next one

I thought that this book was absolutely amazing! It had something for everyone - lots of funny bits, investigations and loads of other things. My favourite character was Jess because she was quite like me - bossy and sarcastic. The best part of the book was when Jess and Alex met each other. It was a silly scene and I enjoyed it a lot.

it was a nice book because it was a little bit weird but not in the kind of super weird and not the type of boring weird
