The Crow's Tale
Naomi Howarth
In the dark depths of winter, snow is falling and the animals are freezing and famished. Brave Crow sets out on a dangerous journey to find the Sun, and beg for warmth. Will Crow succeed, and what will happen to his colourful rainbow feathers? Inspired by a Lenape Native American myth, this beautiful debut picture book shows how courage and kindness are what really matter.
Reviews
I really liked this book. I liked that the crow was very brave and trying to help other animals. I thought the drawings were very good.

The story is about a Rainbow bird that asked the sun for help. It wanted the Sun to shine so that the snow can melt. But the Sun didn't shine. He gave the crow a branch of fire instead. I like this story about the Rainbow Crow being selfless and brave. He has shown kindness to the bear, the old wise owl, seal, a bunny and a goat by bringing the branch back to keep them warm, even though his feathers is burnt as can be. But the Sun gave a gift to crow. The gift was glossy violet and bright hues of blue feathers. My favourite part was the crow talking to the Sun.
