Martin Luther King, Jr. was shocked by the terrible and unfair way African-American people were treated. When he grew up, he decided to do something about it-peacefully, with powerful words. He helped gather people together for nonviolent protests and marches, and he always spoke up about loving other human beings and doing what's right.

Reviews

I liked this book because it taught me about him. It is a three out of five because they could of extended it and put a few more facts in it. It had a lot of facts that I did not know about him. Kids who are interested in learning from the past will like this book about him. Kids over six might enjoy reading this book.

This book is about a man who wanted black and white people to be treated equally. He was against violence and was using powerful words to achieve it. He said a famous sentence :"I have a dream!"
