Meet Ruby Redfort: every smart kid’s smart kid. The fifth book in the nail-biting series, created by award-winning author Lauren Child. Ruby Redfort: undercover agent, code-cracker and thirteen-year-old genius – you can count on her when you’re between a rock and a hard place. There’s a lot to lose sleep over in Twinford: there’s the snakes and the bivalves, but they aren’t half as poisonous as the rumours. With so many twists and turns it’s hard to know who to trust, particularly when no one trusts you. Will Ruby make it out in one piece? Well, happy endings are for fairy tales, bozo.

This is an interesting book about a 14 year old spy Ruby Redfort and this time Ruby is back into learning about a new brand called Taste Twisters and this drink can't be found anywhere. Ruby suspects that this is a code between the the Count and his employee. Hitch (Ruby's spy guardian) signs Ruby up for aikido a martial art and she is forced to take up karate once again (she is a black belt and stopped karate since she accidently disfigured a teenager's nose and could have been killed while sticking up for a friend) with the right teacher. This is a thrilling book which grabs the reader's attention and will she trick her parents and bear that someone is going be killed (her own mother). I recommend this book to thrill-seeking adventure readers.

This book is the fifth in the series and, like the previous books, it failed to disappoint. This book sees Agent Ruby Redfort from secret agency Spectrum 8 come face to face with some of Spectrum's biggest enemies who she had encountered before and someone is targeting her. After the recent events in the last book, Spectrum are not giving any of their agents tasks, for fear that one of them is leaking information to the enemy Count von Viscount. Soon she sees an advert for a peculiar drink that you cannot find anywhere. Soon, Ruby finds herself on a mission of her own after everything starts going downhill for her. This book is great and sees Ruby discovering what she is capable of. My favourite character in this book was the Count because he is doing his own task, ignoring what his boss says. He never lies to Ruby and she sees exactly what he is trying to tell her. Therefore, I would definitely recommend this book to someone else.

This is a fiction book about a 13 year old girl who becomes a code-cracker for a top secret spy agency but people are trying to kill her. But who is the murderer? 8 would seriously recommend this book.

I love this book, ever since book 1's ending, I knew that that wasnt the end of babyface marshall ( Boyd Marshall) and I was right. I now have a stronger respect for Clancy Crew and Blacker. I totally positutely reccomend.
