Dax Jones will not be tamed. The Children of Limitless Ability can do all sorts of amazing things. Terrifying things too. Some can move things with their minds. Some can make themselves vanish. Dax Jones can change his form; can hurtle through the sky at 200km an hour, or swim underwater for minutes on end. But all is not well. Fenton Lodge, the school and home the COLA kids had grown to love over the past few years, is being turned into a prison. The new prime minister has set up a crack force of experts to manage, contain and use the COLA resource in the best interests of decent hardworking British people. And . . . if necessary . . . to shut it all down. Permanently. With all communication scrutinized, Dax's only option is to write to his spoilt little sister, Alice. Even she might notice something is amiss, if she reads his letters properly. And Alice, for all her annoying shallowness, does notice. And what she does about it is extraordinary. But then, she is the half-sister of Dax Jones.

It is a funny and action packed book with lots of dramatic parts and amazing scenes - I highly recommend it to all action lovers! My favourite character is the main character's best friend - Gideon. He is a silly but clever and powerful telekinetic.

Even though it is the last book in the series, you could still imagine what could happen next.A book that is really hard to put down for 7+.

This is the last in the Shapeshifter series and I would recommend reading them in order. This book really only works if you’ve read the others and is a great finale. This series gets darker as the books progress. It did feel a bit like some parts of the story had been missed out between the last two books but the characters were still strong, approachable and funny. Alice came into her own in this book where she’s been portrayed as an shooting pink fluffy sister through the rest of the series.

My favourite character is dax because he’s adventurous and because he can turn into a Fox, falcon, otter. Is when dax,Gideon,Lisa,Luke,Caroline and Alice all come back together again.I would recommend this book to 8+ and to adventurous readers.

It was a great book and I really enjoyed it. It ended with a cliffhanger which is cool.

great finish to the series. A great series would recommend it to anyone who likes an exciting book to read. I didn't expect it to end like it did, total surprise but great.

Feather and Fang is a very good book because it has lots of adventure and action in it. Ali Sparkes has written it very nicely and she has described every bit of it thoroughly. Dax Jones is my favourite character because he is brave and he takes risks. I would recommend this book for 5-10 year olds who love action and adventure.

This is a super suspense story, the reason I chose it was because it was packed with drama, romance, mystery: the whole package! I felt myself being hypnotised as I turned the pages mindlessly. In short, this is a true, five-star story; you just cannot resist reading it, can you?
