This book is my best David Walliams book I have read so far!!!! It's funny, sad and historical too!!! My fa favourite character is "Grandpa" because he thinks he is living in olden war times, and gets into lots of trouble like climbing onto the Church spire in the middle of the night, thinking he's driving a plane!! It's quite sad when the boy has to leave his Grandpa, and when the boy has a son, the son can still see Grandpa flying high in the sky! I would recommend this to ages 10 and over!

This book was hilarious and I loved it. I liked the Grandad The most because he was born during WW1 and it made it hilarious. I would recommend this to anyone who likes World Wars.

I liked the adventures that they went on together, I didn't like Mrs Swine or the nurses from Twlight towers. I recommend this book.

This book is about an old grandpa who starts off recalling everything you and I would probably remember, such as realising to change shoes when we go outside and in, but the old grandpa slowly kept forgetting simple things. He kept on forgetting to drink a cup of tea he just made. Mistaking a humble shopping trolly for a deadly WW2 bomber and lining the supermarket with flour. The grandpa started escaping from his flat, which was above Raj's shop, in a few different methods. After a daringly risky day at the war museum, the duo gets arrested, escape, and get arrested yet again. The rest of the plot will be uncovering a hidden-in-plain-sight secret. And the old grandpa? He gets sent to a prison-like old folk's home. Raj has heard a spooky thing or two about the building, but the vicar is saying it is a supposed Disneyland for old folks. Who is right?

My favourite person was Jack because he helps everyone escape from Twilight Towers and then came up with the idea of getting out of Twilight Towers with a coffin. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys long books that have quite a lot of funny bits. I loved the scene where he made a rope out of ladies' frilly underpants!

This book is about a boy called Jack and he loved his Grandpa, but his Grandpa had a very bad memory and he thought he was still in 1940 in the war. His memory got so bad that he forgot that he was his Grandpa. Jacks parents took him to an old folks home called twilight towers but they didnt know that it was a very bad place. Jack came to get him out of there but failed the first time so they made a plan to escape. All of the other people came to escape too. When they had escaped Jack thought the could just go back home but his Grandpa stopped him and said theres a war going on so they had to go and fly their spitfire. They drove the spitfire although people came to make them go back to the ground on their own spitfire. Jack parachuted down but Grandpa stayed to fight. He didnt make it and everyone went to his funeral. But the vicar of the church betrayed them so all of the elderly people beat him up. Although Jacks Grandpa had told him that if we he loves him Grandpa would never die, so every night when Jack goes to his bedroom he always sees his Grandpa in his spitfire waving hello to him. Grandpa is my favourite character in this book. I would recommend this to someone else.

i liked this book because he reminded me of my grandpa who likes spitfires and loves world war 2 history. i really liked grandpa's character the best because he was old and he was always thinking he was in the middle of a war and one time he went to the supermarket and got bags of flour and pretended he was in a fight. i would recommend it to people who like funny books (Raj is in it as well)
