As a family, we have enjoyed reading Silverstein's poems. They are nonsense poems, similar to Spike Milligan. The children can relate to them as real life is woven through them. Our girls have chatted about the poems, asked questions and laughed throughout them.

I liked one of the poems where it’s called I’m being eaten by a boa constrictor and the words when it rhymed to the body parts. I also liked who wants a pancake I think because naughty somebody took the one from the middle of the stack of pancakes and all of the pancakes fell down.
