When Thomas arrives in the Glade, a walled encampment at the centre of a bizarre maze, all he remembers is his first name. But he's not alone. Like Thomas, the Gladers don't know why they're there, or what's happened to the world outside. All they know is that every morning when the walls slide back, they will risk everything to find out.
Find your local library to borrow or reserve this book.

Buy this book from or bookshop.org to support The Reading Agency and local bookshops.

I really enjoyed this book. Although the representation was poor, and the ending was sad, the plot was incredibly gripping and I struggled every night to put the book down.

Tomas is in a foreign place with his memory lost. He came out of a metal box in the ground. as he makes new friends he finds out that he is living in the middle of a maze. when the leader is injured and a boy called Minho are trapped in the maze he steps in on the last second and then becomes the only person to ever survive one night in the maze along with Minho and Alby. the next step is to get out of the maze. along with the rest of the gladers.

This was a good read, and a fictional book set in the future. A group of scientists, or W.I.C.K.E.D. has imprisoned and brainwashed a group of children, specifically boys, aged around 12 to 18 inside a large area known as the Glade. Every month, a new brainwashed child arrives at the Glade via a large elevator. Around the Glade there is the Maze, which is believed to lead to the exit, yet even after years of searching, no exit has been found. Those who explore the Maze are known as Runners. But, dwelling in the maze are also monsters, known as Grievers and Beetle Blades. Can the Gladers find the way out of this seemingly impossible maze...?

This book is gripping, interesting and addicting. Fortunately, this book is one of three in a trilogy, so when you have finished this, you can go right on to the next one. It tells the story of a group of boys(The Gladers) who are stuck in a small glade, surrounded by a giant stone maze. The maze changes pattern every night and is guarded by the fearsome Grievers. They have no hope of getting out. This all changes, however, when a boy called Thomas is sent into the maze. Everything is not as it seems...

I think others should read this book because Dasher describes a life where Thomas is trapped in a maze, with a group of boys, that have lost their memories of there life before the maze. This book is a fast paced, action filled, novel, that inspires other to never give up.
