Cherry Blossom Dreams
Gwyneth Rees
Sometimes, something happens in your life that changes everything. When Sasha was six, her dad died suddenly and the world changed forever. Now she’s twelve, it feels like things are changing all the time: her twin brother hardly talks to her any more, her mum’s dating a teacher from school, her best friend Lily keeps going on about boys ... and Sasha doesn’t feel ready for any of it. Why can’t things just stay the same? The one place she can escape to is Blossom House, her secret place – an old, echoey, overgrown, beautiful, empty mansion, where the only thing that changes is the weather and the flowers in the garden. There’s just one problem: it isn’t hers. And even a house can have secrets ...

Cherry Blossom Dreams by Gwyneth Rees is a terrific story of dresses ,daydreams and big secrets. It is a fictional book about Sasha a nearly thirteen young female and her complicated life. First there's Lily and Priti her best friends but they don't get along. This is caused because Lily is very popular and Priti is a total dork. Sasha feels she is coat in the middle and can't move to one side without hurting the other! Then there's lily's older brother Raffy. Sasha's secret crush! she can't even look at him without blushing. Now Sasha's Mum Annabel has found true love with a hunky toy boy. But it's a deadly secret! Sasha's mum's romances never last! Sasha and her brother Sean escape to their secret hideaway when life gets too complicated, Blossom House a massive empty mansion perfect for day dreaming. But Blossom House holds some secrets of its own! It is a fictional book. My favourite character is Priti because she is sweet ,caring and I think she is a great friend plus I like that there are two sides to her the dorky girl at school and the party princess . I recommend this book this book to any child from 10+. Maybe abit more of a book for girls but some tricky words
